Justin Carlton is from Portland, Oregon. He has spent the last 17 years living and working in Los Angeles. Writing, making short films, music videos and a couple of non-fiction projects. He has most recently worked as a writer’s assistant on the Plan B/Netflix series The OA. 

In 2016, Justin wrote and directed the short film 'So It Goes' which played the Independent Boston, Napa Valley and Seattle Shorts Film Festival. The musical starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Fargo S3, 10 Cloverfield Lane) was also featured on Short of the Week. 

This year he and his wife, Jamie Vega Wheeler, finished a feature documentary called ‘Use Your Delusion’, which tells the story of a struggling musician on tour.
